it had a message that the church should have. It was a message of acceptance. That no matter where your from and what situation your in, your welcome here. I think to many tomes, we have “WELCOME” door mats and those words coming out of our mouthes, but we don’t hold to those. Not even the one pleace we should, THE CHURCH.

I want to take the time and says that life isn’t always perfect. Some days you hit home runs or game winning 3-Point Shots…

and others, you FALL on your butt. Today was one of those days.

Although today was, I am getting up because my enemy has been defeated and I will NOT be held down because of something of this world. My God is bigger than all things of this world and I wanna encourage those readers of this that GOD is in controll and all though we do not want to realize it some times, HE HAS A PLAN FOR IT ALL.

THAT BEING SAID, I ON MY FEET READY TO GO AGAIN! THANK YOU GOD

10 years ago, people were not ok with someone wearing a low cut shirt that basically showed EVERYTHING. Now days, it’s ok. This does not make sence. Now I know that it is difficult for girls to find stuff that is “cute” and modest but this is how I put it to the youth:

The Bible tells us not to do things that cause our brother/sister to sin and being that the person next to you is your brother, you do not want them to sin.

I know this is simple but I felt like it had to be done. It is never fun, it is never easy, but that is why its MODESTY.

Its been a crazy last 2 and a half weeks. Like everyone else in the world, it seemed like everything came to a conclusion or a beginning at the same time. Here is a sample of mine….

So a couple of weeks ago (I do not know the exact date), we started what is known as Heck Week. This is the week of the semester that EVERYTHING is due before finals. Well being that I am a PRO-crastinator, I had tons of pages to crank out in 5 days, but one of the papers triggered something in me that made me want to know more. This paper was on a topic known as, Pascal’s Wager.

“What do you have to lose but
eternity itself.”

Well this got me thinking on weather it is good enough for someone to say they believe as an “insurance policy”.

Now do not get me wrong, I believe that if you confess with your mouth and believe in your heart that you will be saved but this whole “wagering” thing bother me a little.

For me, it is kinda like saying that its ok for people to have a “Back up Plan” in case your marriage does not work out. With a negative outlook like that, in most cases, means the marriage will not work. Its the same case. Having Jesus as a back up plan, to me, seems like it would be doomed to fail. After thinking about this, it made me think about the christian body as a whole. How many time do we use Jesus as a Back Up Plan instead of our Only PLAN. Instead of saying we depend on Jesus, we depend on ourself and if that does not work, “its prayer time”.

Now I know this is harsh, but its true. I would love to see people move away from having a back up plan and move to the ONLY PLAN, Jesus Christ. For now, this is all but i feel that over the next couple of weeks, God has stored some AWESOME blogs in me that I plan on sharing, so visit back DAILY.

1.God is in your Pain.

This is found in Genesis 39:20-23. This is the story about Joseph, not Mary’s Joseph, but Joseph and the dream coat or coat of many colors.  You see before this Joseph was the favorite child. So much so that his 11 brothers threw him down a well and told their dad that he died. Joesph was then found by Egyptains, sold in slavery, promoted to head slave, tempted by the slave owners wife which he resisted so she tricked him and got him thrown in jail for trying to “take advantage” of her and now at this point, Joseph is in jail. The scripture reads,

“While Joseph was there in the prison, the Lord was with him; he showed him kindness and granted him favor in the eyes of the prison warden. So the warden put Joseph in charge of all those held in the prison, and he was made responsible for all that was done there. The warden paid no attention to anything under Joseph’s care, because the Lord was with Joseph and gave him success in whatever he did.”
-Genesis 39:20-23

See, God was with Joesph in his time of pain because he with him always. So no matter what type of pain,

God is in your pain. Joseph then is so blessed by God that he is promoted to head jail person and because of this the leader of Egypt come to him because he has heard that Joseph can interrupt dreams. Well he ask Joseph to do so for him and Joseph tells him he cannot but the Lord can through him (I really like this because you can imagine his smirk when he said it). He then interrupts his dream and tells the leader that there would be 7 years of like everything growing and many blessing followed by seven years of famine.

Well being a smart leader he put Joseph in charge of preparing for this and Joseph did an awesome job. After the first 7 years was over, Joseph was handing out the rations and he recognized some people and realizes they are his brothers. He then asks them to go to his chambers and then he precedes to tell them that they are his brothers. Then,

“His brothers then came and threw themselves down before him. We are your slaves, they said. But Joseph said to them, Don’t be afraid. Am I in the place of God? You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives. “
- Genesis 50:18-20

See God used his pain which is point 2.

2. God has a plan for your Pain.

Joseph was a man in a lot of pain. If we put our self in his position, we would see that Joseph a man with a lot of scars on the inside but God used his pain for good. That pain wasn’t just to save some lives, but it saved many life. Like many as in a whole nation because if it wasn’t for his past he wouldn’t of been about to help with the feminine.

This is a story I can relate to because when I was younger, I had pain and lots of it. So much so I attempted suicide 2 times. Well at the time I was like why God why? Then I found out why on our senior mission trip. On this trip, I was asked to share my testimony along with one other kid to about 200 kids and at the end of it, many many many kids came to know Christ and well since then I have shared and more have come to know God. But God used my pain so that he could save someones soul. (Looking back, I would do it all over again if just one soul was saved)

So what I to share with you is that no matter the pain, God is with you and no matter the pain, God will use it for his good. I want to challenge you that what ever your going through now, turn to God and let him use this pain. It might be hard a first and it probably will never be easy but one day, hopefully, God will use you to further his kingdom.

This week some of our youth have experienced one of the hardest things that they have had to deal with in their lives. A friend of thiers passed away. Seeing the pain of the family, the pain of the kids, the pain of the people, has led me to some thoughts. I dont really want to share all at once because part of it is in my sermon tonight but, I am found that God is in your Pain.

No matter where you have been or what has happened, we have all at one point probably said, “God help me” and what we meant was, “God fix it”.

You see, we look at God as some kind of magic person that will fix our bad times and he can but in my life I have found that God doesn’t work like that with me. That instead, God is in that pain with me in that time. That although, we don’t realize it, God uses that pain to help us to do marvolous things.

I am really pumped about this sermon tonight and I will let you know alot more details later. Just know for now that God is with you in your pain.

Anyway, well we went to the service and all was going well. Julian Drive the worship band was doing a awesome job of getting the kids into it!

After an awesome day there, we went to service and Julian Drive was rocking it and doing an awesome job….

anyway then this guy named Matt Pitt came out and threw down in a way that these kids have never experienced. HE DID AWESOME

God moved through him and touched the lives of our kids and it was awesome. This is one of those post that I cant give alot of detail on, just one thing is that God told me to go deeper. Go deeper in him and what we talk about!
